EA Tech Talk today! Thursday, October 26th at 5:00 p.m. in Gates Hillman 6115, Marwan Mattar, Electronic Arts' Senior Data Scientist, will host a special tech talk on AI in Gaming. EA is looking for talented new members of their team so connect with them today!

Halloween in the Makerspaces flierOn Tuesday, October 31st at 5:30 p.m., IDeATe and Mechanical Engineering will be co-hosting a Halloween event in the new Engineering makerspace in Hamerschlag Hall. We'll be making a spoopy, laser-cut bat and eating way too much candy. See you there!

KiltHub Research Repository is now live - KiltHub, CMU’s Institutional Research Repository powered by figshare is live and accepting self-deposits of data, papers, stimuli, code, or any other research product you would like to make publicly available and citable with a DOI. Feel free to contact Jill Chisnell (Integrated Media and Design Librarian) if you have any questions.

The CMU libraries regularly hosts workshops and office hours which can now be found on the new events calendar on our website. Each Wednesday afternoon there are office hours in Hunt Library for digital scholarship, data management, and KiltHub. Also, look for regular workshops on citation management software including Mendeley and Zotero.

IDeATe's Standard Fabrication Lab (aka the woodworking room) can now be accessed by students Mondays through Thursdays, 2:00 - 5:30 p.m.! If you would like to learn about using our drill press, band saw, belt sander, and other power tools, stop by Hunt Library A30 (basement, near the IDeATe Lending Booth) and HCI/IDeATe staff member John Antanitis will be on hand to help.
