Open Fabrication Hours
Students who have never taken an IDeATe course may use IDeATe laser cutters, 3D printers, or wood working tools during Open Fabrication hours.
For laser cutting and 3D printing, students should bring a prepared file to IDeATe, and we will help you bring your part into reality. For the Wood Shop, students should bring their own lumber. Smaller “scrap wood” pieces are generally available, but if a specific wood type or large quantities are required, the student must supply it.
IDeATe students continue to have their regular access level any time the facilities are open and Hunt Library schedule permitting, including Open Fabrication Hours.
