You are almost there! Classes are ending and soon finals will be behind you. You need a burrito. And maybe an IDeATe fanny pack? Come to FrIDeATe tomorrow, Friday, December 6th at 4:30 p.m. in the IDeATe Fabrication Lab. Then head upstairs to IDeATe Studios A & B. From 5:00-7:00 p.m., students in the Game Creation Society and 15-466 Computer Game Programming will be showcasing the games that they have created.

Every Possible Utterance

The creative brains that brought you Subsurface are moving above ground to present Every Possible Utterance next Friday, December 13th at 8:00 p.m. at MuseumLab. The performance is a collaboration between the IDeATe classes Exploded Ensemble, Animation Studio, and Activating the Body, integrating art, technology, and engineering. The event is free and open to the public. Shuttles will be available to transport Carnegie Mellon students to and from the venue. Pick-ups will be 7:15 and 7:30 from Frew Street near Hunt Library, returning at 10:15 and 10:30. Additional information is available at facebook.com/explodedensemble.

Make a Documentary in Brazil During Spring Break

The English/IDeATe course 76-374 Mediated Narrative has traveled to Cuba that last few years to make an interactive documentary. This year, the class is headed to Brazil to work on an environment and sustainability documentary. For more information, contact Professors Ralph Vituccio and Therese Tardio.

Twisted Signals Pop-Up Exhibition

The IDeATe course 18-090 Twisted Signals: Multimedia Processing for the Arts will host a pop-up exhibition on Monday, December 9th, 12:30-2:30 p.m. in the IDeATe Media Lab (HL A10A). The exhibition will have student projects involving interactive audio-visual artworks, listening experiences, and mostly usable tools. Event info also available on the facebooks.

VRARA PGH and IxDA Present The Potential of VR

Tonight! December 5th at 6:00 p.m., Shawn Patton of Schell Games will be speaking about the potential of virtual reality. Following the talk, there will be time to chat and check out the deoms of games that he has worked on. For more information and to register, visit eventbrite.com.

MIT Reality Hack

MIT Reality Hack is a 5-day event held every January that comprises of thought leaders, brand mentors and creators, participants, students, and technology lovers to come together and attend tech workshops, talks, discussions, fireside chats, collaborations, hacking, and more. Participants of various backgrounds and all skill levels attend from all over the world. The deadline to apply is December 13th!
