Steiner Lecture in Creative Inquiry: Kamal Sinclair
Kamal Sinclair (@KamalSinclair) will visit the STUDIO for Creative Inquiry (CFA 111) on Monday, March 4th at 5:00 p.m. Sinclair serves as the Director of the Sundance Institute’s New Frontier Labs Program, which supports artists working at the convergence of film, art, media and technology; as a Consultant to the Ford Foundation’s JustFilms program; and as artist and producer on Question Bridge: Black Males, a transmedia art project. At New Frontier, Sinclair develops and supports landmark projects in the evolution of story, including experiments with VR, AR, and data as storytelling media. She was recently profiled by NY Magazine as a leading figure in the VR industry. This lecture is made possible by the Sylvia and David Steiner Speaker Series and the Frank-Ratchye STUDIO for Creative Inquiry at Carnegie Mellon University.

3D Animation Specialist
The National Robotics Engineering Center (NREC), part of CMU's Robotics Institute is seeking a talented and creative 3D animation specialist to develop detailed concept visualizations that convey novel robotic solutions to customers. The candidate should have a general understanding of mechanisms and vehicles and be able to demonstrate their skills in visualizing both. Tough Art Residency Program
The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh announces a request for proposals for its annual Tough Art Residency Program. (Hint! IDeATe instructor R. Zacharias is a graduate of the program and would be happy to answer any questions that you have about it!) The residency invites artists to work in the museum to develop and create artworks that will be exhibited fall/winter 2019. Applications are due March 31, 2019. Allen Chi Gaming Scholarship
