ScottyLabs is hosting Web Dev Weekend on October 10th and 11th, and we would love for you to attend! Web Dev Weekend is an annual series of student-led workshops and talks that introduce you to web development with interesting, hands-on projects. It is a great place to pick up new skills that you’ll be able to use in your projects, hackathons, and classes!

ICYMI: IDeATe Student Employee David Perry Featured on cmu.edu

If you've spent any time in the IDeATe facilities, you've undoubtedly run into David Perry working in the Soft Technologies Studio or helping students build a huge inflatable sculpture. Perry's studies at the intersection of textiles and robotic systems are featured today in a profile piece on cmu.edu, where you can read about his SURF project on roboticized garments.

ICYMI: Adobe Max Virtual Conference

The Adobe Max Conference, which would normally set you back about $1,000, will be free this year. Register and join in October 20-22, 2020 to see sessions on 3D and AR, business productivity, graphic design and hundreds more. Featured speakers include writer/director/producer Ava DuVernay, photographer Annie Leibovitz, and recording artist/producer/director Tyler, the Creator.

As you navigate this semester and the semesters ahead, remember that Counseling and Psychological Services has many programs and resources available to help. They will be running weekly support groups for all of the facets of our community, including groups dedicated to Black women, Master's students, Ph.D. students, undergraduate students. You can also participate in clinics on anxiety, embracing your body, and self-compassion or a drop-in group on coping with home and family or coping with insomnia.
