IDeATe is growing up
As we come closer to the end of the Fall 2022 semester, IDeATe is proud of the Tartans who have collaborated in our labs and studios and of our alumni who have taken their joy of thinking, making, and doing out into the world with them.
This semester has been a big one, as we have seen the launch of our newest area, Immersive Technologies in Arts & Culture, and unprecedented interest and participation in our program.
Looking ahead
IDeATe is eager to continue our work of fostering interdisciplinary collaboration at Carnegie Mellon and to explore the ways that we can support the new ideas waiting to come to life in Hunt Library. This year, we are thrilled to be a featured fund for Giving CMU Day 2022.
Between now and Tuesday, November 29th, gifts to the IDeATe fund will go directly to materials and equipment that support the innovative student projects that routinely come out of spaces like the Physical Computing Lab and the Soft Technologies Studio.

IDeATe T-Shirt Design Update
We have a winner! This year's winning design for our IDeATe t-shirt is this submission from School of Art student Soomin Kong. We are planning to do our initial distribution of shirts at FrIDeATe on December 2, barring any production/shipping delays.
Speaking of FrIDeATe, we are aware of the dearth of burritos at the last gathering and we will rectify that for next time. We may even have a burrito-eating contest...
