IDeATe Showcase at Meeting of the Minds and Class Final Events + Game Creation Society: Release Showcase + Perryman Scholarship + Horizons Fellowship

If you're curious to see what IDeATe students have been working on this semester, you have some exciting opportunities to get a glimpse over the next couple of days! On Thursday, May 3rd, several classes are showcasing their final projects: Storytelling with Machines, Cuban Interactive Documentary, and Art of Robotic Special Effects. On Tuesday, May 8th, Making Things Interactive and Responsive Mobile Environments will have their final presentations. Times and locations are listed on the sidebar and at ideate.cmu.edu/events.


The Game Creation Society will be holding its spring Release Showcase this Thursday, May 3rd at 6:30 p.m. in IDeATe Studio A. Come eat delicious food and play some games that your fellow students have created!


The big event on campus every spring is Meeting of the Minds. This year, it's happening on Wednesday, May 9th and IDeATe will be setting up in the Studio Theater in the Cohon University Center from 12:00 to 2:30 p.m. Projects from many Spring 2018 IDeATe classes will be on display, including Game Design, Prototyping, and Production, Storytelling with Machines, Rapid Prototype Design, 360 Story and Sound, Computer Music Systems, and Reality Computing.


The Perryman Scholarship offers funding of up to $25,000 per year. Interested? Contact Stephanie Wallach to get started on an application. Note! Applications are due on May 15, 2018!


The Horizons Fellowship is a summer opportunity that supports outstanding undergraduate and graduate students (of any year) in their pursuit to combine technology into their existing course of study. The Fellowship gives students the ability to learn about real-world technology and build advanced software products. Interested students can apply at joinhorizons.com/fellowship.
